I am a qualified (BA Hons, Diploma In Therapeutic Counselling, CQSW) and experienced counsellor registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)- Number 373443 and the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) –SW21558.
I have been working in the caring professions for nearly thirty years as a qualified Social Worker and separately as a Counsellor. (The counselling has been Integrative, meaning that I use a variety of counselling approaches tailored to meet your needs and situation).
As a practitioner I have seen how many different factors have impacted on people’s lives causing various levels of stress, anxiety, depression and general feelings of helplessness. It has been a privilege working alongside people, helping them through difficult times both practically and emotionally.
As well as practising privately, I also work in a GP practice providing counselling for registered patients in the local community. This is with the established NHS and Talking Space partnership.
I have lived in Oxfordshire most of my life and in the village of Eaton since 1994 with my wife and two (now) adult children. This is where my practice is based overlooking the fields of Eaton Heath. In a peaceful setting, I am located only one mile west of Cumnor and approximately 5 miles from Oxford and Abingdon respectively.
