Counselling is a process that will help you to express yourself as much as you want to about your problem(s) to a person initially outside of your situation in a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment. By listening and empathising with your experiences the counsellor can work with you in partnership to identify the extent of your problem(s) and recognise possible solutions- ones that work for you.
Talking to a trained person can help you think about the underlying causes of problems, see your options, develop strategies and create positive changes in your life.
Many people have positive experiences of counselling and recommend it to family members and friends.
